Location:Northwest of Palmer, at milepost 19.2 on Hatcher Pass Road.

Special Features:Summit Lake is a tarn (small steep-banked mountain lake or pool) with adepth of 20 feet. West of the lake, a trail leads up a to a bluffoverlook, with views of Willow Creek drainage, the Susitna Valley, andthe western arc of the Alaska Range. The overlook is a popular launchsite for paragliders in the summer. The area above and east of the lake, April Bowl, ispopular in winter for backcountry skiing, snow boarding, andsnowshoeing. Park is also open to snowmobiling in winter.
