An eating disorder of early childhood (up to 10% of infants have it, but usually outgrow it) and of the mentally retarded (again, affecting up to 10%), which consists of regurgitation of non-acidic food for up to 2 hours (usually less than one hour) after swallowing, similar to cows’ process of rumination, hence the name
