Uvod
Uvod’
a river in Ivanovo Oblast, RSFSR, a left tributary of the Kliaz’ma River of the Volga River basin. The Uvod’ is 185 km long and drains an area of 3,770 sq km. It is fed predominantly by snow. The mean flow rate 30 km from the mouth is 19 cu m per sec. The Uvod’ freezes in November and opens up in April. It is used for the general water supply. Its flow is regulated by the Volga-Uvod’ Canal. The cities of Ivanovo and Kokhma are situated on the river.
