Pechora Bay

a bay of the Barents Sea in Arkhangel’sk Oblast, RSFSR. It is approximately 100 km long and from 40 to 120 km wide, with depths to 6 m. The Pechora River empties into it. The bay is icebound from October through June. White whales, seals, and various fish, including cod, are of commercial importance.
