Vondrák, Václav

 

Born Sept. 22, 1859, in Duba, Bohemia; died Aug. 13, 1925, in Brno. Czech philologist and Slavist.

A professor at Brno University, Vondrak did research on the Old Slavic language and the comparative study of Slavic languages. He is the author of the workThe Formation of the Modern Czech Literary Language (published in 1926).
