PDGFA
PDGFA A gene on chromosome 7p22 that encodes platelet-derived growth factor alpha, which plays a key role in regulating embryonic development and in cell proliferation, migration, survival and chemotaxis. It is mitogenic for mesenchymal cells and required for normal lung alveolar septation during embryogenesis, normal GI tract, Leydig cell and oligodendrocyte development, as well as normal spermatogenesis and myelination in the spinal cord and cerebellum.
