Question

Country: United States of America
State: CaliforniaI have been pulled over.Heres how it is.I illegally had a friend in my car (i dont have 6 months up. I was driving past curfiew. I didnt have my licence on me. This is what the officer wrote on my citation. However I dont believe that he had the right to pull me over because.I was parked in a cul-de-sac with my lights off and the motor off, he passed by on the road in front of me and then came back to see who was parked (i wasn't illegally parked either). He pulled in with his only his headlights on(no red and blue and no siren) so I began to drive away slowly and didnt break the speed limit. He followed me for about a quater of a mile and then pulled me over. He didnt tell me why he just asked for licence and registration. I told him I didn't have my licence but that it was a home( truth) and I gave him the registration. He then called my parents and had them come down to pick up my car and my friend. On my citation me wrote that I was traveling at a the maximum safe speed and nothing says that I was driving irradically. I was never informed of a reason for pulling me over and never read my rights. The officer told my mother that I was parked in a cul-de-sac were stolen cars have been ditched in the past and that he investigating. Well, most car theives dont drive away slowly and at the speed limit. I dont think he had the right to pull me over:did he, and should i appeal my case in court?
