Suit for payment of work

Ask a Lawyer

Question

Country: United States of America
State: IndianaI am suing for payment of work completed and I have a question. If the defendant under oath tell her lawyer that she was aware of prior estimates for work to be done, and acknowledges the first quote of $500 a building and said that was too much and that I excepted a verbal agreement of $400 for all 15 buildings, and her lawyer states so you agree they dropped their price? She states yes. When I crossed examined her and asked so you do acknowledge the prior estimate, she denied ever seeing it at anytime. What can I do about this if anything; I am not represented by a lawyer.

Answer

You can try to prove somehow she did see it.by her later words, acts etc. or witnesses etc.
