Beisug

a river in Krasnodar Krai, RSFSR, flowing into the Sea of Azov by way of the Lebiazhii and Beisug firths. Length, 243 km; basin area, 5,190 sq km. The Beisug flows in a heavily overgrown bed through the Kubano-Priazovskaia (or Prikubanskaia) lowland. Its high-water period is from February through April. It is icebound from late December until mid-March. Its tributaries are the Beisuzhek-Levyi and Beisuzhek-Pravyi.
