Bicocca, La
(lä bēkôk`kä), former village, Lombardy, N Italy, now part of Milan. There, in 1522, the vicomte de LautrecLautrec, Odet de Foix, vicomte de, 1485–1528, marshal of France. In the Italian Wars he fought at Marignano (1515) and was subsequently governor of Milan. Defeated at La Bicocca (1522), he was forced to evacuate Italy.
