Preservation by deed Preservation by deedA method used by preservationists to use deed restrictions to curtail development or alteration of a structure or area. A preservation organization may acquire then sell a property subject to a covenant and reverter clause in the deed that the purchaser must comply with certain restoration guidelines. If not, the property reverts back to the original organization. |
