Royal Institute of Public Health

A UK body founded in 1886 as the Association of Medical Men Possessing a Qualification in Sanitary Science, which was renamed the British Institute of Public Health in 1892, and gained royal patronage in 1897. The RIPH was dedicated to furthering public health; it was subsumed by the merger with the Royal Society of Health, and together they were renamed as the Royal Society for Public Health.
