[prə′sizh·ən ′depth ri‚kȯrd·ər] (engineering) A machine that plots sonar depth soundings on electrosensitive paper; can plot variations in depth over a range of 400 fathoms (730 meters) on a paper 18.85 inches (47.9 centimeters) wide. Abbreviated PDR. Also known as precision graphic recorder (PGR).
