Pravda Ukrainy

(Pravda of the Ukraine), a Russian-language political daily published in the Ukrainian SSR. The first issue appeared in Kiev on Jan. 1, 1938, as Sovetskaia Ukraina (Soviet Ukraine), the name it retained until late 1943. It was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor in 1975. Circulation, approximately 530,000 (1974).
