Pratt, James Bissett

 

Born June 22, 1875, in Elmira; died Jan. 15, 1944, in Williamstown. American idealist philosopher.

Pratt contributed to the collection Essays in Critical Realism (1920) and was a founder of critical realism in philosophy, the concepts of which he later combined with the ideas of personal-ism and the theory of emergent evolution.
