Prandtl-Meyer flow

[′pränt·əl ′mī·ər ‚flō] (fluid mechanics) A two-dimensional, supersonic fluid flow in which an initially uniform flow passes a sharp, convex corner in a boundary, resulting in expansion of the fluid.
