Uptar

an urban-type settlement in Magadan Oblast, RSFSR, under the jurisdiction of the Magadan city soviet. Uptar is located on the Kolyma Highway, 42 km north of Magadan. It has a timber mill, a building-materials plant, and a storage terminal of the Kolyma Hydroelectric Power Plant.
