Question
Country: United States of AmericaState: CaliforniaMy wife and my self were backing out of a parking stall at a local strip mall. We heard a horn honk so she stoped a young man that was in the truck behind us jumped out and clamed we hit him. It was on my side of our vehicle that he clamed struck his but I saw and its just not true. We told our insurance co. That we beloved he was trying to fraud them The police were called to the the parking lot. This young man had no license, or proof of insurance. So he called his dad who was an insurance broker and he clamed he had insurance. Now its six months later and my wife goes through a sobriety check point were they inform here she is driving on a suspended license. Give her a ticket and impound the vehicle. She was cited for CVC12500a and the following reason were given for her license being suspended CVC16004a and CVC16070. My thoughts on this are that the father not realizing that the son had no drivers license covered for him claming that the son had insurance. He told that to the police officers that were there. In doing that commuted fraud on top of the fraud that had already taken place. And now he cant back off. If you could lend me your insights or advice on this I would be very grateful.
