Vesh

(literally in Afghan, division, repartition), custom of dividing up and redistributing land that took shape among the Afghans during the period of their transition from nomadic cattle raising to settled agriculture. It has several forms. As of the beginning of the 20th century, vesh has survived only among the individual tribes of the Sulaiman Mountains and the right bank of the Indus River.
