Parinaud's ophthalmoplegia syndrome

Dorsal midbrain syndrome with palsy of vertical gaze. It is caused by a brainstem lesion near the vertical gaze center. Sometimes associated with inability to converge the eyes and poor pupillary response to light. See also: Parinaud, Henri
