pa·ri·e·tal branch [TA] 1. branches coursing in relationship to and supplying the parietal bone or parietal lobe of cerebrum; 2. branches distributed to the body wall and limbs (the "parities") as opposed to visceral branches distributed to the body cavities. For example, the gray rami communicantes are the parietal branches of the sympathetic trunks (unlike the splanchnic nerves, which are visceral branches of the trunks).
