NHS-Speak
A process undertaken by an NHS body to benchmark itself against the Practice Plus National Audit Instrument. To be robust, the organisation must use triangulation to compile the information put in its self-assessment report, which must be signed off jointly by the staff-side organisation and management, and communicated to staff before validation. The self-assessment report will form the main part of the validation.
