parenting order parenting order a court order which compels a parent to attend parenting classes and to fulfil other requirements as determined necessary by the court for improving a child's behaviour. They are granted following prosecution for non-attendance at school or following a permanent exclusion or a second fixed-term exclusion within 12 months. There are similar Scottish provisions under different legislation. |
