(also Trichurus), a genus of roundworms that parasitize the large intestine and cecum of roe deer, deer, goitered gazelles, fallow deer, sheep, camels, cattle, and other mammals. The human whipworm (Trichocephalus trichurus) is a parasite of the human intestine.
