Baidarata Bay

an inlet in the southern part of the Kara Sea, between the shore of the continent and the Jamal Peninsula. It is approximately 180 km long, 78 km wide at the mouth, and up to 20 m deep. The temperature of the water at the surface in summer is 5°-6° C. The bay freezes over in winter. The Baidarata, Iuribei, Kara, and other rivers empty into Baidarata Bay.
