[sə′lē·nē·əm ′brō‚mīd] (inorganic chemistry) Any of three compounds of selenium and bromine: Se2Br2, a red liquid that melts at -46°C, also known as selenium monobromide; SeBr2, a brown liquid, also known as selenium dibromide; and SeBr4, orange, carbon-disulfide-soluble crystals, also known as selenium tetrabromide.
