old term for chronic inflammation of certain lymph nodes, not specifically tuberculous (that is, tubercle bacilli are not demonstrable), but associated with proved tuberculous inflammation in another part or organ of the body.

paratuberculous lymphadenitis

An obsolete term for acid-fast bacillus-negative lymphadenopathy (e.g., reactive lymphadenopathy) in a patient with tuberculosis.
