(library)(SDI) (From Library Science) SDI is a currentawareness system which alerts you to the latest publicationsin your specified field(s) of interest.

A user registers at such a system with keywords representinghis or her fields of interest, called a search profile. Whennew publications matching the search profile appear, thesystem informs the user of them instantly, periodically orupon request. Some systems may also be able to inform theuser if changes in already notified publications occur.
