Bazarnyi Karabulak

an urban-type settlement; center of Bazarno-Karabulak Raion, Saratov Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Karabulak River (Volga basin), 7 km from the Karabulak railroad station (on the Atkarsk-Vol’sk line). Population in 1968,8,200. Industry includes canning, milling, and leather-footwear combines, a dairy plant, and a brick factory. There is also a people’s theater.
