Subject to Collection

A deposit of a check into a bank account to which the depositor has immediate access. That is, the deposit is treated as if it has already cleared even though it has not. Subject to collection deposits are available to longstanding or well-respected customers; however, if the check bounces, the deposit will be removed from the account.
