Axis of the Celestial Sphere

the line that passes through the center of the celestial sphere parallel to the earth’s axis of rotation. The points of intersection of the celestial axis with the celestial sphere are called the celestial poles. The apparent diurnal rotation of the celestial sphere occurs about the axis of the celestial sphere.
