Vysokomolekuliarnye Soedineniia

(Macro-molecular Compounds), a scientific monthly journal of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR concerning theoretical and experimental chemistry and physics of polymers. It was founded in 1959 on the initiative of academician V. A. Kargin, who was also its first editor in chief (1959-69), and is published in Moscow.

The journal has been publishing in two series—A and B—since 1967. Series A publishes original completed investigations and summaries, as well as descriptions of new methods and instruments for investigating polymers, survey articles, current events, and personalia. Series B publishes letters to the editor and short reports about new phenomena or laws. Series A has a circulation of 2,100 (1971) and series B, 1,100.
