Rodanovo Gorodishche
the remains of a fortified settlement of the ninth through 13th centuries near the village of Rodanovo, which is in the vicinity of the city of Berezniki, Perm’ Oblast. Rodanovo Gorodishche belonged to the ancestors of the Komi-Permiaks. It was excavated by the Soviet archaeologist M. V. Talitskii in 1936 and 1937. The remains of estates and their dwellings, outbuildings, and fences were unearthed. The cultural layer contained various tools of iron and bone, ornaments, pottery, and the bones of domestic animals. The period between the ninth and 15th centuries in the archaeology of the Kama Region has been named the Rodanovo culture after the Rodanovo Gorodishche.
