Trialet Range
Trialet Range
a mountain range in the northern Lesser Caucasus in the Georgian SSR. The Trialet Range is approximately 150 km in length, with elevations as high as 2,850 m. It is composed primarily of flysch and volcanic rocks. There are sub-alpine and alpine meadows on the crest and forests of oak, beech, spruce, and pine on the northern slope. The southern slope has meadows with steppe-type vegetation and is almost treeless.
