Seeding-machine Loader
Seeding-machine Loader
a set of equipment for mechanized loading of seeder boxes with seeds.
The type of seeding-machine loader used in the USSR has a bin, inclined and horizontal screw conveyors, and a seed treater. The loader is installed on the chassis of a truck whose body has been replaced by a metal bin with a volume of 3.3 cu m. The inclined screw conveyor lifts the seeds to the horizontal screw conveyor, which has a canvas sleeve at one end to direct the seeds into the seeder box. If necessary, the seed is treated with dry herbicides. The conveyors are driven by the truck’s power takeoff. The seeding-machine loader is operated by the driver and a seeder operator, who can fill a three-seeder unit in 3—4 min. For loading while in motion, the seeders are equipped with fenders.
