Terebilov, Vladimir Ivanovich
Born Mar. 5 (18), 1916, in Petrograd. Soviet party and state figure. Candidate of the science of law (1954). Member of the CPSU from 1940.
Terebilov graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Law in 1939. From 1939 to 1962 he served in various departments of the Procurator’s Office of the USSR, carried out research, and taught students. From 1962 to 1970, Terebilov was deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of the USSR, and in 1970 he became minister of justice of the USSR. In 1971 he became a member and deputy chairman of the Central Auditing Commission of the CPSU. In 1976 he became a candidate member of the Central Committee of the CPSU. He was a deputy to the eighth and ninth convocations of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. Terebilov has been awarded the Order of Lenin, two other orders, and various medals.
