Date of birth unknown; died 1781. A sultan of the Middle Horde in Kazakhstan; khan after 1771.

In 1740, Ablai became a Russian subject and contributed to the development of trade with Russia. He achieved the unification of the Kazakhs of the Middle Horde, part of the Elder Horde, and some clans of Kirghizia under his rule, and he established a government of violence and tyranny. He fanned strife among the clans to weaken his opponents.
