Pandivere

Pandivere

 

an upland in the northeastern Estonian SSR. Maximum elevation, 166 m (Mount Emumägi).

The terrain is hilly moraine and in places hilly plain with clearly defined eskers as long as 50 km in the southeast. There are outcrops of Silurian limestone, and karstic relief formations are characteristic. The Pandivere Upland is the source of the Keila, Pirita, Jägala, Valgejôgi, Kunda, Kasari, Pedja, and Pärnu rivers. A large part of the upland is under cultivation. [19–4l7–2]
