Location:In the village of Columbus, 35 miles south of Deming via NM 11.
Facilities:62 developed campsites (all with electric hookups), restrooms (é),showers, picnic sites (é), group shelter, playground, trails,desert botanical gardens, historic buildings, visitor center, interpretive exhibits.

Special Features:Park commemorates the 1916 raid of the small New Mexico border town andmilitary camp at Columbus by guerrillas of the Mexican Revolution underGeneral Francisco "Pancho" Villa. The park is located on the grounds ofthe former Camp Furlong, and it was from here that General John "BlackJack" Pershing launched his punitive expedition into Mexico inretaliation against Villa. The park's historical exhibits depicting theraid and the US Army's subsequent punitive expedition are now housed inthe park's $1.8 million, 7,000-square-foot Exhibit Hall. Several otherbuildings at the park date from the time of Villa's raid and are listedon the National Register of Historic Places.
