Robinia
Robinia (locust), a genus of deciduous trees and shrubs of the family Leguminosae. The stipules are spiny, and the compound leaves are oddly pinnate. The white, pink, and red flowers are in racemes. There are approximately 20 species, distributed mainly in North and Central America. Seven species are cultivated in the USSR. Particularly widespread is the black locust (R. pseudoacacia). Robinia
