portoenterostomy, hepatic |
| 释义 |
portoenterostomy, hepatic portoenterostomy, hepatic (por-to-en-ter-os'to-me) A surgical procedure performed to establish bile flow in an infant who has external biliary atresia associated with absence of the extrahepatic biliary system. A section of the jejunum is attached to the liver at the normal exit site of the hepatic duct to allow bile drainage into the small intestine. The jejunal segment may be looped to form a cutaneous double-barreled ostomy. Postoperatively, liver function continues to deteriorate in most children, and liver transplantation is often needed.
