Pakse

a city and port in southern Laos; situated on the Mekong River at the influx of the Done River. Capital of Sedone Province. Population, 50,000 (1958). Pakse has an airport. The city is the commercial center of an agricultural region on the Bolovens Plateau. It exports cardamom, cotton, tobacco, and cattle.
