a unit for the continuous or batch removal of skins from animal carcasses, used in meat-packing plants as a component of mechanized production lines for cattle slaughter and carcass processing. Depending on the design, the output of series-produced skinning machines ranges from 75 to 150 carcasses per hr for cattle, from 125 to 360 carcasses per hr for smaller stock, and up to 100 carcasses per hr for hogs.
