Skidel

a city (since 1974) in Grodno Raion, Grodno Oblast, Byelorussian SSR; located 27 km southeast of Grodno. Skidel’ has a railroad station on the Grodno-Mosty line. It has combines for the production of sugar and baked goods. Rein-forced-concrete products are also manufactured. There are sovkhozes for fattening cattle and growing sugar beet seeds. The Museum of the Underground Komsomol Members of Ski-del’ is located in the city. [23–1503–]
