Location:On Long Island's south shore in Islip.
Special Features:Wildlife monitoring conducted at the refuge consists of waterbird surveys, migratory songbird and raptor surveys, white-tailed deer counts, and mosquito sampling.
Habitats: 196 acres of tidal marsh, old fields, brush, woodland, grasslands and pine barren.
Access: Closed to the public.
Wild life: Migratory birds, particularly waterbirds, raptors, songbirds, white-tailed deer, and red fox.
