Tendra Spit

(also Tendra), a low-lying, sandy island off the northern coast of the Black Sea, southeast of Odessa. Tendrá Spit is about 65 km long and 1.8 km wide at its widest point. A battle between the Russian and Turkish fleets took place near the island in 1790.
