Ussuri Bay

Ussuri Bay

 

an inlet of Petr Velikii Bay of the USSR, in the Sea of Japan, near the coast of Asia. Ussuri Bay measures approximately 67 km in length. Its width is 55 km at the entrance and approximately 30 km in the middle part. The depth ranges from 51 to 69 m. The mountainous banks are sharply dissected on the east. The bay is frozen from December through March. Tides are irregular and semidiurnal, with a range of approximately 0.5 m.
