Established: 1972.
Location:On North Pack Monadnock Mountain in New Hampshire, 20 miles west of Nashua.
Facilities:Trails.
Activities:Hiking, wildlife observation.
Special Features:The 30-mile Wapack Trail, which crosses parts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, passes through the center of refuge.
Habitats: 1,672 acres of timbered mountain slopes, bare rock ledges and cliffs, bogs, and swamps.
Access: Open from dawn to dusk year round.
Wild life: Tree sparrows, hawks, pine grosbeaks, white throated sparrow, deer, bear, coyote, fisher, fox, mink and weasel.
