Polle syndrome

(pol′ē) [ Polle, a town in Germany] A form of Munchausen syndrome by proxy and also of child abuse in which a dependent child is a victim of parentally induced or fabricated illnesses without any external incentives for this behavior, which is usually caused by a mentally unstable person.
