Location:Off Route 287 Exit 57. Follow signs to park.
Facilities:Picnic areas, playground, multi-use trails, nature trails, bathhouse,boat launch, boat rentals, food concession, skeet range, lookout point,historic homes, formal gardens, visitor center.
Activities:Fishing, ice fishing, hunting, boating, canoeing, swimming, picnicking,hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing,snowmobiling, sledding, historical programs.
Special Features:Park includes two historic homes, the New Jersey State BotanicalGarden, and the Shepherd Lake Recreation Area. The two homes areRingwood Manor, a mansion once owned by Abraham S. Hewitt, one ofAmerica's foremost iron masters, and Skylands Manor, a historicallyaccurate reproduction of an English Jacobean mansion. Most of therecreational activities at the park are centered around Shepherd Lake.
